18U Half-Season
All players will be evaluated and assigned to an SMS team that participates in the Valley Hockey League (VHL). Team rosters are selected based on overall skill level to ensure competitive play at the appropriate level of USA Hockey - Tier A, AA, or AAA.
Ages
Birth years 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009 are eligible to participate (Grades 9-12).

When
The season begins with tryouts in late August and runs until playoffs in November.
Where
Practices are held at the Navin Arena. Games may be played across the metro Boston region.
Practices
Teams practice 2 times per week.
Games
Teams will play 20 games over the course of the VHL season and playoffs, and will usually fall on the weekend.
Uniforms
Jerseys will be provided.
Extra Costs
Expect team managers to collect funds to cover tournament entry fees.
2024-2025
Our 18U Half-Season VHL Hockey program is for players in Grades 9-12. The program primarily consists of players from Nashoba Regional High School and Lincoln-Sudbury High School. However, players from other community high schools from Sudbury, Maynard, Stow, and surrounding communities are welcome.
The season begins in late August and will run through the end of November. If there is sufficient interest and players, a full-season team may be considered.
All players must have a current USA Hockey number at registration.
Program Cost:
The number of players drives the cost of the program.
Player Tuition is $800
Goalie Tuition is $250
All players will be evaluated and assigned to an SMS team that participates in the VHL. A non-refundable deposit of $100 is due at the time of registration.
Partial payment of the half-season fee is due upon team placement acceptance. The remaining balance will be charged to the credit card on file or ACH payment on August 15th, 2024.
